There are three possible test case results:
Success: indicates that the device under test behaved as prescribed by the protocol and as expected by the test case.
Violation: indicates that a protocol rule (or a set of rules) is not followed by the device under test.
Failure: neither success nor violation. Usually indicates that Co-Advisor failed to put the device under test in the state required for the test case to proceed. Unexpected network connectivity errors may cause a case failure as well.
